Why Choose Intersect Virtual School?

Troy's reputation as an outstanding school district is well established. We have six national Blue Ribbon schools and all of our schools are Michigan Exemplary Blue Ribbon schools. Both of our traditional brick and mortar high schools are ranked among the top four percent of all schools in the United States by Newsweek Magazine. Our student achievement levels are among the best in Michigan and the nation, and our graduates earn additional consideration from Michigan State University and the University of Michigan because of their Troy School District background. Our District continues to uphold this exemplary educational model with our virtual school program that offers both full-time and part-time options.

Families and students in Kindergarten through 12th grade choose Intersect Virtual School for many different reasons, but what they share is a desire for the best possible learning experience. For students in Oakland and surrounding counties, Intersect Virtual School provides an excellent alternative to the traditional brick-and-mortar school environment.

Program Overview

School focused on your child

We apply a student-centered approach to helping your child develop essential skills for school and for life. With this approach, it is recommended that each child have a caretaker, typically a parent. Teachers, curriculum, and caretaker work together to support, enrich, and customize learning.

Typically support and motivate the student and monitor the schedule. Caretakers are also encouraged to communicate and collaborate with the teachers.

Provides multimedia lessons, interactive tools, and excellent resources to engage students. It also delivers continuous information on students' progress to teachers.

Personalize lessons, provide feedback and assistance, and encourage students. Periodically, teachers instruct in real-time virtual sessions and evaluate student progress.

Discover, create, and learn from home, accessing curriculum and resources via the internet. Students can contact teachers for assistance by WebMail or phone.
